Text ads are probably one of the most effective ways of advertising any product or service online, because with a little creativity they don't have to look like blatant advertisements at all. Sure you can use these text ads as "classified ads" in an e-zine, etc. but that's just the beginning.

Everywhere you go you see ad banners and other blatant advertisements. They are so common these days on the Internet that many people are starting to ignore them altogether, whether they know it or not. That's why the response to banners, in general, is continually dropping.

I know that when I surf the web looking for something in particular, I almost automatically "tune out" the ads that are presented to me ... because I'm busy looking for something else. You could stop me at any time and ask me about the last ad banner I saw, and chances are that I couldn't tell you anything about it. I might even say I didn't see any banners. One last thing to keep in mind is that you should never use the same ad in the same way for too long. Whether you are using these text ads in e-zines, in your email signature, on your website, etc. it's best to rotate your ads every few weeks to get the maximum response possible.
